Biography
Dr. Abhi is a graduate of James Cook University. He has spent time in many healthcare settings such as Townsville University Hospital, Redcliffe District Hospital, Longreach and Blackall Hospitals. He brings a broad range of experience in surgery (such as orthopaedics, neurosurgery, plastic surgery, trauma and general surgery), medicine (general medicine, gastroenterology, respiratory and cardiology) and critical care (emergency and ICU). He has spent a significant amount of time working in rural emergency departments in Blackall and Longreach. He has an interest in technology and has recently helped publish a book on artificial intelligence in medicine. He prides himself in bringing an empathetic and individualised approach to patient care. His hobbies outside of working are music (loves collecting headphones) and going to a lot of social events.
Dr Abhi consults from Burleigh Town Medical Centre on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday and welcomes new patients.
